progress

I have been doing multiple small projects to count toward the refinement of my idea, this refinement work has consisted of cutting pictures of both urbanm and rural and finding diffrent ways of combining them together with difrent techniques like cross hatching amd placing difrent slrfips of the photo together to make them clash. this fits in with my idea to contrast urban and rural.

tree silhouette

To add to my design I cut out a tree silhoutte  to contrast all the coulers of the buildings and chalk, i stuvk it in the middkle of the four prints i made. i liked ity because it looked really effective!

chalk silhouette

to add to my silhouette painted outline of a skyline, I added deataining with chalk, on top of the red printing i used green and blue to make it more clear whart it was and make it look original and diffrent. i liked it because it made it look more effective.

silhouette

to get a silhuette effect i carved a out line of a sky line on a peace of pollistirine, this worked by the pain in the gaps not printing on to the paper. i liked this peice of art becasuse it was really simple but effective and it never went the same way, it was always slightly diffrent

perspective streets

i like the perspective of these streets because this is an idea of the perspective that i want on my urban contrasting rural street. especially the way it goes on and on until its so far away, you cant see any more of the street.

Manfred Stader

I have researched into Manfred Stader's art work because i like the way his artwork is quite simple objects but he makes them seem more interesting, i could use this aspect in my assignment by learning and using the perspective and 3d techniques that were used. i particularly like this piece of art because its is a simple object but he makes it seem like it is abstract and original.

julian beever

Im going to start reserching julian beever because for my idea, i need to learn more about perspective and 3D, and i like the way that it is perfect only when you look at it from one point. I like this image because it  look near realistic. I also like the way he has made the water look realistic by putting the light reflections into it.

My idea

My Initial idea is to contrast urban with rural. i thought i would show a street going down the road, as if you had taken a picture of a street from the top point and could see it going all the way down to the bottom. To show rural cantrasting urban i would start the street with buildings/sky scrapers in the foreground, then as you looked down the street it would gradualy change into houses, then cottages, then farms but when you get right down the street they would all disapear and there would be two hills at the end of the road. As you look down the road it slowly fades from urban to rural.
